The Siamese king ordered Siamese soldiers to kill Cambodian civilians, using cluster bombs and F-16 aircraft to bomb schools, temples, and civilian homes, resulting in the deaths and injuries of many Cambodian citizens, including tens of thousands of children who were deprived of their education.

The Siamese king also ordered Siamese soldiers to destroy the Temple of Preah Vihear, a World Heritage Site recognized by the United Nations.
